Janiece Bollie

Janiece Bollie has attended the Community of Christ church since birth. Later she was a pianist and secretary for her church for many years, and she had also served as a secretary for Camp Quarryledge Board meetings.

Janiece has worked for Center for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois University from April 2007 – May 2025. She was a Research Analyst/CLA Coordinator. She gained work experience in diverse governmental assistance and research areas, including community and economic development; local government technical assistance; strategic planning; organizational studies; and training. She has provided staff support for several projects, including wage and benefit studies and strategic planning facilitation. She managed the Civic Leadership Academy and other training programs. Prior to joining CGS, Janiece spent nearly 22 years in community education and training as well as administrative support at the community college level. Janiece earned a B.A. in business administration and a minor in psychology from Aurora University.

Currently, she volunteers in an English Language Acquisition (ELA) class for a community college. Prior to COVID, she volunteered 4 years (2 hours, 1 day per week) helping third graders at a local elementary school.
